How A Brand Ranks - The Brand Popularity Ranking
In a sea of clothing brands, we're every bit as curious as our customers to know what's hot in the marketplace. What are people looking for today, this week, or this year? While we can't predict how everything looks in the big picture, we can take a stab at sifting through the data and presenting what we think might be the hot topic of the day.
The Brand Popularity Ranking is built from one simple input, user traffic. When a user clicks on a particular brand, it loads the brand page for that specific brand. At that point in time, we track that click and factor it into the ranking for that brand for a given time period. While our ranking may not present a true indicator of how a particular brand is performing in the marketplace, we can begin to gauge a sense of what people are looking for. From that, we focus our attention on building more information for our viewers.
The brand ranking is updated at midnight Pacific Time on a daily basis.
On a weekly basis, we also provide a report, free of charge, of the Top 100 brands ordered by the number of hits each brand page receives. You
can find this information in our Top 100 Brands report.
